✨ Illustrated portrait of Stacey Anderson

The Long Version

The short version: I write a lot.

I write romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, contemporary, historical, sports romance, dark romance, and science fiction. I publish under nine fiction pen names through my own publishing house, Five Turns Publishing. And I do all of it with AI in the loop — not instead of writing, but next to it. As an assistant. As a research partner. As the editor I couldn’t afford in year one.

This site exists because the public conversation about AI in publishing is, frankly, exhausting. One side wants to declare writing dead. The other wants to declare the writer obsolete. Neither is true, and neither is interesting. The reality is messier, weirder, more useful, and more fun — and the people writing about it are, almost entirely, men in greyscale who use a lot of em-dashes.

So: pink lipstick, a real publishing business, nine fiction pen names, and a willingness to tell you what actually works. That’s the project. That’s the whole thing.

Why I’m AI-positive

Because the assistant I could never afford is now the assistant I have. Because the editor on draft three doesn’t have to be me. Because the brainstorming partner at 2am doesn’t have to be me. Because the formatter and the spreadsheet builder and the prompt-engineer-for-her-own-cover-art doesn’t have to be me. The writing — the actual sentences, the actual choices, the actual books — is still me. The infrastructure is shared with a very fast, very patient collaborator I can pay by the month.

That’s what AI is, for the working author. It’s not the writing. It’s the everything else.
